Tagging Health Check is an auditing tool for Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Adobe Experience Platform Launch (Adobe Launch). You connect it to your own Google account, and it runs a structured set of automated checks against the GA4 properties and GTM containers you have access to, covering things like tracking setup, data quality, tag health, PII exposure, bot traffic, ecommerce parameter coverage, and consent configuration.
You can audit a single property, or run a bulk audit across every property in a GA4 account. A bulk audit works through those properties one at a time, in sequence, not all at once, to stay within Google's API rate limits. You can also pull month by month event counts across an entire account, and export any audit's results to Google Sheets, Excel, or a Google Slides deck, on request.
When you sign in with Google, this app requests permission to read the following, limited to your own Google account:
Access to Google Analytics is read only. This app never creates, modifies, or deletes anything in your GA4 property.
We never request access to Gmail, Contacts, Calendar, or anything outside the scopes above.
Each time you run an audit, results are pulled fresh from Google's APIs and shown in your browser. If you come back to a property you've already audited, the app will show you that same result from your browser's local storage rather than pulling it again right away, similar to how GA4's own reporting can show a cached view. You'll see a "Cached X ago" label whenever you're looking at a result like this.
That cached copy expires automatically after 2 hours. After that, or any time you explicitly run a new audit, you get fresh data pulled directly from Google.
In your browser: cached audit results are stored only in your own browser's local storage and expire automatically after 2 hours. If you're on the free tier, rather than a paying customer or an admin, your results and this cache are also cleared automatically 5 minutes after an audit finishes, whichever comes first, so nothing lingers in your browser after a quick evaluation.
On our servers: audit data is processed temporarily on our servers only to generate the exports you request (Google Sheets, Excel, Google Slides), or, if you explicitly use the "Share" feature, to serve a read only link. Shared links stop working automatically 8 hours after they're created. We don't use this data for anything beyond fulfilling the specific action you requested.
We set one cookie directly: a sign-in session cookie, created when you connect your Google account, that keeps you signed in as you use the app. It exists only for that purpose, it is not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.
We also use your browser's local storage (a different, non-cookie mechanism) for a few things already described above: remembering your light/dark theme choice, briefly caching your credit balance, and caching recent audit results.
For traffic and performance monitoring, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, our hosting provider's own tools. Both are cookieless by design, they don't set cookies or use persistent identifiers to track individual visitors.
When you sign in with Google or pay through Stripe, that happens on Google's or Stripe's own site, and any cookies set during those steps are set by them, under their own privacy policies, not by us.
No. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party. Files you choose to export land in your own Google Drive, not ours.
You can revoke this app's access at any time from your Google Account's third party access settings. Doing so immediately stops the app from accessing your data.
